- Individual arrival in Trani, a charming town on the Adriatic Sea. Have a chance to stroll around the old town centre, a charming mediaeval network of streets arranged around the picturesque fishing port, which is itself flanked by numerous bars, cafés and fish restaurants. Don't forget to visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful examples of Puglia’s Romanesque architecture. Overnight stay in Trani.
- TRANI - RUVO DI PUGLIA 50 km / +450m. Bike delivery and briefing. Leaving the Adriatic Sea behind, you will cycle inland surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. Passing through the medieval towns of Andria and Corato, you will end your first stage in Ruvo di Puglia, renowned for its fascinating Romanesque Cathedral and precious ceramics. Overnight stay in Ruvo di Puglia.
- RUVO DI PUGLIA - BARI 47 km / +150m. An easy ride will take you back to the Adriatic Coast and then to Bari, Puglia’s regional capital, a city of two faces: the elegant Murat district, with its palaces, and the colours and flavours of Bari Vecchia, the medieval old town. Along the route, you will find Terlizzi and Giovinazzo with their charming historic centres. Overnight stay in Bari.
- BARI - POLIGNANO A MARE 45 km / +200m. A pleasant ride along the coast will take you to Mola di Bari and then to Polignano a Mare, a small but unique town known as “the Pearl of the Adriatic”. Its historic centre, made of narrow lanes and whitewashed houses, is perched on a cliff overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. Overnight stay in Polignano a Mare.
- POLIGNANO A MARE - OSTUNI 55 km / +400m. Continuing along the coast, you will soon find another gem of the Adriatic, Monopoli, with its picturesque old port. Then, you will cycle near the Archaeological Park of Egnazia. An important port during the Roman period, Egnazia was a lively centre crossed by the Trajan Way, of which it is still possible to see the tracks. After Savelletri, you will leave the coast and, cycling surrounded by old olive trees, you will get to Ostuni, “the White Town”. Overnight stay in Ostuni.
- OSTUNI - BRINDISI 50 km / +180m. After visiting the small medieval village of Carovigno, you will bike through olive groves towards the sea and reach the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve. Then, a coastal route will take you to Brindisi, crossroads of people and cultures since ancient times, thanks to its natural port and strategic position in the Mediterranean sea. Overnight stay in Brindisi.
