Each of these white towns has its own distinct history, traditions, and local culture. By biking through them, you have the opportunity to interact with locals, sample authentic Apulian cuisine, and experience the region's rich cultural heritage firsthand. Cycling is a slow and leisurely way to explore a region. It allows you to savor the sights, sounds, and smells of the area at your own pace, fostering a deeper connection with the places you visit. This 6-days tours often take you through less-visited areas and backroads that might not be accessible by other means of transportation. This gives you a chance to discover hidden gems and experience the authentic essence of Apulia. Apulia is renowned for its olive oil and wine production. As you bike through the countryside, you'll have the opportunity to pass by vast olive groves and vineyards, contributing to a unique and sensory experience.
Itinerary
Day 1. ARRIVAL IN san vito dei normanni
Individual arrival in SAN VITO DEI NORMANNI. Located in the northern part of the peninsula of Salento, just half an hour from Brindisi, San Vito dei Normanni sits amidst the olive groves and grape vines only a few minutes from the Nature Reserve of Torre Guaceto and the Adriatic Sea. The tight web of streets hide baroque churches, palazzi, and a medieval castle, along with a host of excellent restaurants, cafés and pizzerie. There are many delights lurking in the lanes here. Overnight in San Vito dei Normanni.

Day 2. SAN VITO DEI NORMANNI - OSTUNI 42 km / +380m
Bike and road map delivery and route description. After a short ride thorugh the historic centre of San Vito dei Normanni with its beautiful square and Castle, you will cycle towards the Nature Reserve of Torre Guaceto. The reserve contains a remarkable diversity of habitats and landscapes ranging from the marine reserve inhabited by turtles, to wetlands and marshes inhabited by amphibians and birds. The area is also characterized by the presence of sandy dunes and beaches. From here we will continue towards Carovigno. The stage ends in OSTUNI, The White City. Overnight in Ostuni.

Day 3. OSTUNI - ALBEROBELLO 38 km / +615m
Today you will ride over the hills dominating the Itria Valley: wooded slopes, vineyards and endless olive groves punctuated by the coned roofs of trulli. Crossing the white town of Cisternino and Locorotondo, you'll finally get to our destination: ALBEROBELLO, capital of Trulli, universally-known as the capital of the Trulli, distictive, small, dry-stone buildings with a conical roof. You have the possibility to sleep in one of these typical houses. Overnight in Alberobello.

Day 4. ALBEROBELLO - SAN VITO DEI NORMANNI 58 KM / +420M
This morning you will cycle first to Martina Franca, and then to Ceglie Messapica, the Apulian capital of gastronomy. You will continue this pleasant route until we reach San Vito dei Normanni. Overnight in San Vito dei Normanni.

Day 5. SAN VITO DEI NORMANNI - MESAGNE - ORIA 72 km / +215m
You leave San Vito on your bikes and get to Mesagne and Oria. Both towns are dominated by the impressive beauty of Frederick's castles. On your way back to SAN VITO DEI NORMANNI, you'll stop at Francavilla Fontana. Overnight in San Vito dei Normanni.
