Self-guided hiking tour - 8 Days / 7 Nights
The hiking tour "from the Adriatic Coast to the Jonian Coast" will take you from one coast of Puglia to the other. The route will literally divide the region in two. We start from Polignano a Mare: the pearl of the Adriatic and continue towards Castellana Grotte, which houses one of the most beautiful karst treasures in Italy: the Castellana caves. The walking tour continues in the heart of the Itria Valley, you will arrive in the UNESCO site city or the city of trulli: Alberobello. The next stop is Locorotondo, a city of circular beauty. We then continue to the elegant town of Martina Franca, with its typical wrought iron balconies and its elegant square. The last two stages will take you to the Ionian Sea. Already in Crispiano, in the Amastuola area, you can enjoy the view of the Gulf of Taranto which you will reach the following day. Taranto (or Taras, according to the Greek name) is also known as the city of the two seas: the Mar Piccolo and the Mar Grande. Don't miss a visit to the MarTà Museum, one of the largest collections in all of Puglia.
